- First question/challenge is how to spend limited money and determine priorities in online marketing efforts
- Social media is two-way, not a one-way broadcast channel
- Can’t let website go by the wayside, even with all cool social media tools. Your website is where people go to validate you
- In 2009 with current state of economy, we need to be efficient and measurable. Consequently will show a greater dependence on online marketing medium
- 2010/2011 will be more about engagement and listening than branding
- Current economy will only strengthen online medium — easiest, quickest, most cost-effective means of engagement
- There is no product from the smallest/least expensive item to the biggest ticket item you can think of that you don’t seek info for online
- Everything in online marketing starts with your website. You have to look like a big fish, have to show you can compete at any level
